When a new Righteous CDP Server is installed, a default Disk is created using a path called Default-Volume inside of the CDP Server installation directory. This Disk is added to a Storage Pool called default.
It is not recommended to store your data in default. The default Disk and Storage Pools are only created to make the software easy to use and to get started for beta testing or trial usage. See Adding Storage Pools.
With a production installation, you would want to store the data in a location different from the CDP Server installation directory, such as a RAID subsystem or network path.
We recommend that you delete the default Disk and Storage Pool before adding any Hosts to prevent any important Backup Data from accidentally being stored there. See Deleting Disks.
