About Users
Righteous Backup is a multi-User Backup System. The CDP Server maintains a database of Users allowed to use the system to manage Hosts, Backups, and Restores. The system provides unparalleled flexibility allowing you to restrict access or resell services as a Backup service provider.
There are two (2) User Types based on privileges:
Users that manage other Users have the role of User Administrator.
Users that manage Hosts are Host Administrators.
- Common User — Description of the "Common" user type.
- Super User — Description of the "Super" user type.
- Host Administrator — Description of a user assigned to a Host as its admin.
- User Administrator — Description of a user with a privilege to administrate other users within the system.
- Adding Users — Instructions on how to create a new user account in the Linux or Windows CDP Server.
- Changing User Properties — Instructions on how to change user properties in the Linux or Windows CDP Server.
- Adding an Administrator for a User — Instructions on how to create an administrator for other users in the Linux or Windows CDP Server.
- Deleting Users — Instructions on how to permanently delete a user account from the Linux or Windows CDP Server.
- Log In To The System — Instructions on how to enter to the Linux or Windows CDP Server.
- Changing Email — Instructions on how to change the email assigned to your user account in the Linux or Windows CDP Server.
- Changing Password — Instructions on how to change your user account password in the Linux or Windows CDP Server.
