CDP Server Node - NT Event Log Settings

In your Windows Control Server for Data Centers you can define the NT Event Log settings (New in Version 2.5) for CDP server Node.

NT Event Log is a Server Setting for enabling/disabling and controlling logging threshold for NT (Windows) Event Log. For example, the NT Event Log Settings allow the wordiness of what is written to the event logs to be shortened so that only warnings and errors are noted.

  • Enable NT Event Log - Select the check box to log R1Soft Backup solution events to
    NT (Windows) Event Log.
    Note
    Default value is checked (enabled).
  • NT Event Log Threshold - Only messages equal to or higher in priority to the defined value will be recorded to the NT (Windows) Event Log. Select "All" from the drop-down menu to log all Task Log Messages. Select "Warn" from the drop-down menu to log Messages that have "Error" and "Warning" state. Select "Error" from the drop-down menu to log only Error messages.
    Note
    Default value is "All."

What is NT (Windows) Event Log?

Event logging is implemented under Windows NT as a system service. The event logging
service is designed as a component of the Windows NT operating system. Windows NT
Logs can contain critical events such as a power failure or not so critical
events, such as an incorrect Password entered when you attempt to log in.
