Backup Data Storage
About Backup Data Storage
Righteous Backup provides a flexible solution to manage Disk-based Backup Storage allowing for scalability and flexibility.
Backup Data Storage includes the following two (2) categories:
- Storage Pools - A container of one (1) or more Disks.
- Storage Disks - A defined path or directory accessible by the CDP Server where Backup Data can be stored.

Volumes must be assigned to a single Storage Pool, which they will use for all of their data storage. A Host is assigned to a Volume and Volumes are assigned to Storage Pools. All Disk Safes belong to a Host. When a new Disk Safe is created, it is assigned to an available Disk from its assigned Storage Pool.
Each CDP Server Cluster Node needs to have a minimum of one (1) Storage Pool with an assigned Volume and a minimum of one (1) Storage Disk assigned to the Storage Pool.
