Web Server Node - Web Server Settings

The "Web Server" Settings control Web Server configuration for the CDP Server Web-based User Interface.

The following settings are available for the "Web Server" Settings Category:

  • Web Server Host Name - The Host Name or DNS name bound to the IP address configured on the Web Server. The Host Name you will use to access the Web Server via the browser. You can use the IP address instead of the Host Name.
  • Max Threads - The maximum number of threads that can be spawned to handle incoming requests.
    Note
Requires restart. See description in the Windows Control Server - Server Restart.
  • Min Threads - The minimum number of idle threads the server will have available for handling incoming requests.
    Note
Requires restart. See description in the Windows Control Server - Server Restart.
  • Request Log Retain Days - The maximum number of days to retain Web Interface Apache style request logs.
    Note
After this limit is reached, old log files will be rotated out.
  • Session Timeout (seconds) - Idle sessions to the Web Interface Timeout when this value has been reached.
    Note
After the session Timeout, the User must log back in.
  • Use Session Cookies - Enabled by default. When enabled, cookies will be used to track User sessions in the Web Interface. If disabled, an encoded URL will be used.
    Note
We do not recommend disabling session cookies.
    Note
Some settings require a Web Server restart before they can take effect.
