View Page HistoryThere are two (2) methods of installing the Backup Agent:
* *Deploying Remotely* \- Using the "Deploy Agent" feature available on the "Servers" screen or in the "Add a Server" Wizard" in the Backup Manager interface
* *Deploying Remotely*. 1) Using the *Deploy Agent Software* feature in the _Actions_ menu on the _Protected Machines_ screen or 2) selecting the *Deploy agent software now* check box when adding a new machine on the _New Machine_ screen.
* *Installing Locally* \- Locally*. Downloading the Backup Agent installation file and running it manually in the Server machine protected machine.
After the installation is complete, *a reboot is required* in order to successfully accomplish backups.
