I back up a Fedora box. Then choose to do a full system restore to original location and to overwrite files. Once the restore gets to the network related files such as {color:blue}/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-lo{color} {{/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-lo}} the network gets dropped and the restore fails.

The OS is reloading the network configuration files when it sees them change. This is not a bug. This happens because the */etc/sysconfig/network* files are changed and the network configuration gets repopulated which causes the network to drop.
