R1Soft allows to retrieve a beta driver (if exists) and save the Kernel module to the default directory:
/lib/modules/r1soft/
Follow the instructions below to retrieve a beta driver.
1. Run the #r1sof-setup command with the #beta option as follows:
# r1soft-setup --beta
2. Wait till checking for binary module complete.
Checking for binary module
Waiting -
Complete.
3. When the Kernel module is installed, the information about its location is displayed.
Saving kernel module to '/lib/modules/r1soft/hcpdriver-cki-2.6.18-238.9.1.el5.ko'
Kernel module is now installed.

4. Use the following command to load the new driver. See cdp-agent and Restarting the Agent.
# /etc/init.d/cdp-agent restart
