Use the following directory to access example API functions:
* {{for Windows:}} {{<installdir>\apisamples}}
* {{for Linux:}} {{<installdir>/apisamples}}

h4. Windows Server Backup Manager

When running the Server Backup Manager installation, you can select the installation directory for the manager or leave the default location untouched. The default installation location is:
* {{C:\Program Files\Idera Server Backup}}

The following screenshot displays the contents of the {{apisamples}} directory of the Server Backup Manager directory (Windows).

h4. Linux Server Backup

API samples are located in the&nbsp;{{/usr/sbin/r1soft/apisamples}} directory. You cannot change this directory because it is hard-coded in the&nbsp;{{.deb}} and {{.rpm}} packages. The following screenshot displays the contents of the {{apisamples}} directory.

{info:title=Tip}If you use the Nautilus file manager, then start using root permissions because the directory {{/usr/sbin/r1soft}} is not readable by regular users.
